Job: Senior Quantity Surveyor, Hays Construction

This is a fantastic opportunity within a main contractor for a senior QS seeking a new challenge.

This organisation delivers award-winning new build, refurbishment and fit-out services with current projects including education and PFI with project values between £10m and £40m. As projects approach Phase II for seven schools in the region, it requires a senior QS to join its team.

The company’s aim is to redevelop the local community, providing improved and more creative learning environments for today’s children, with over £400 million being spent over the course of its framework agreement.

You will have experience of working within main contractors on schemes up to £10m in value, dealing with sub-contract procurement and sub-contract management at senior or intermediate level. The role will be predominantly site based, reporting into the project manager. An understanding of design and build or PFI would be beneficial.

The role will encompass a regional scale with schemes running across West Yorkshire with the opportunity for the right individual to move into MQS position relatively quickly.

You will be a senior QS with experience working within the UK construction sector with a proven track record. Ideally, you will be working within a main contractor at present and be seeking to progress your career through development and project type.
